Biography:
Mr. McConnell moved to Kokomo Indiana to teach Science after graduating from Ball State University in 1997. He was able to attend Ball State on the GI Bill after serving our county in the US Coast Guard. As a teacher, he considers himself lucky to have taught and mentored thousands of middle school students over his years of service in Kokomo Schools. He has been the recipient of several mini-grants from the community foundation to fund class projects like Flight Lab, Roller Coaster Club and solar powered cars. Working with children is a passion for Mr. McConnell and has worked with many athletic teams from Kokomo Schools, the YMCA, Kokomo Soccer Club to mention a few.
Mr. McConnell is a proud family man who has a Christ-centered family, he is a father of 2 boys who attend International Baccalaureate School for gifted and a wife who works at the Kokomo High School. When he is not at school or on a soccer field coaching now days, he enjoys a round of golf with his sons and wife.

Post Masters in School Administration Certification while on staff at Indiana Wesleyan University
